Diary In Taiwan #2 | FoGuangShan
A day in Foguangshan 「
Main Icon of the place. |
My OOTD on Summer |
As you can see, there's English explanation |
Yesterday, 6 August 2017, I went to Foguangshan (佛光山),
it means Buddha’s
light mountain. Foguangshan itself is a Buddhist temple located in a place in Kaohsiung (a little bit far from the city), maybe around an hour from central Kaohsiung. There’s a lot of way to reach this
place, since this place is also one of travel object in Taiwan. I saw there’s public busses and taxi
available to reach this place.
This place is basically the main attraction in Kaohsiung. Everyone who visit Kaohsiung will come to this place to hang out apparently lol..
You can do much thing here, you can take picture obviously,
you can watch a Buddhism movie cause they have 4D theatre. They also have vegetarian
restaurant, shops like Starbucks. There’s
also museum as well. Mission of this Foguangshan itself is to share Buddhism
and Humanity through culture and arts, which is so amazing.
Some Attractions we can play |
Attractions inside the building. |
I did many things also take bunch of pictures. All I can
say is you have to bring umbrella because it’s
really damn hot. I also learn some kind like calligraphy there. Inside of the
building there’s some attractive game and things you can play, like
put your hands under LCD ang get random words, listen a
story from diorama, showering little Buddha and many more
I do really
really appreciate what they made there, everything is clean and neat, they also
have tour guide. And there’s English guidance everywhere. You don’t have to
worry that you can’t Chinese and get lost, you won’t. You have to trust me!.
Also buy some snacks like bubble tea and things. Some shopkeeper
understand English pretty well, but it’s kinda hard for them to talk. We may
not understand what they’re saying. Prices at the shops for me it’s not so expensive. Maybe it’s
a lil bit more expensive than in shops in Taipei, but it’s not overpriced.
For food, don't worry if you're a vegetarian or even vegan, they do have vegetarian restaurant over here.
Overall, it’s a “have to go place” when you visit Taiwan.
Better you come at 8 am. This picture is damn big half day isn’t enough if you
wanna go to everyplace and take pictures on every attractions they have.
Btw, here are some new pictures
Peta Area FoguangShan, Foguangshan Area Map (Old and New Foguangshan) |
Aku ga inget dipotong berapa mungkin NTD 70 ato berapa gitu..
Buat main seharian sih benernya not bad apalagi kalo orang hobby foto. Cuma karena aku orangnya ga suka jalan, males panas & gampang bosen.. Jadi aku radak ga suka kesini.. Ya pernah sekali 2x 3x udah cukup banget.. Tapi jujur pengen sih imlek kesini hahaha..
Ya segini dulu deh

hi , I was interested in going to Taiwan .
BalasHapusAre the cities there crowded? What is your opinion about the quality of the infrastructure there?
Hello! Thanks for commenting here. Kaohsiung is 2nd big city in Taiwan, it's pretty crowded. But for buildings I think Taipei or Taichung will be great. Kaohsiung is pretty much more if you wanna learn about the culture, pagoda buildings and things. Sorry if I give you wrong info, I still have no time to travel other places because my school stuff
